JOAT-London is a team of expert interior designers, joiners, carpenters and cabinet-makers.
Because all our designs are bespoke, made to measure furniture that fulfil not just your functional needs but your taste and budget, no two fitted interiors are exactly alike.
We can create bespoke interiors of any type, from state banqueting halls to terraced attic conversions. Each customer and each item of custom furniture design receives the same level of personal attention from our craftspeople.
Because we make everything from scratch in a large variety of materials and finishes, our work always exactly fits its space.
We can build anything for your home or office. Take a look at our work on this website: we make perfectly fitted alcove units, elegant bathroom furniture and fixtures, the bedroom environment you’ve always dreamed of, bookcases in any shape or size, functional items for your home office, our best-selling angle on understairs storage, endless designs for wall units or wardrobes, and commercial furniture for anyone in business – from baristas to barristers.
We can create fitted furniture in materials and finishes that suit your tastes and your budget. We can work in anything from painted MDF for an inexpensive, lightweight children’s set of cupboards to burr walnut veneer for the CEO’s office of a multinational corporation.
Because we are experts in working wood, we’ll agree the choice of materials with you, based on appearance and its suitability for the task at hand. Our pieces are all professionally constructed using expert joinery – you won’t have to keep tightening the legs on our tables or the panels in our cupboards.
JOAT-London began business in 2011 when we took over Chiswick Woodworking Company and Deriba Furniture. It is owned and run by Charl and Melanie van Rooyen in Iver Heath, on the western outskirts of London. It’s perfectly placed to provide custom furniture and joinery anywhere in the capital.
Our work is guaranteed for 10 years. With proper care, the furniture we create should last at least 10 times longer than that.
